Pays de Gex-Bellegarde by bike ...

Today, several  bike circuits  make it possible to discover Pays de Gex by taking small roads avoiding traffic. These picturesque routes will bring you from one side to the other of the Jura range through the famous Faucille pass or to the impressive Fort l'Ecluse.


The guide "l'Ain à Vélo" proposes about ten entirely marked out circuits, trough all the Ain department , including 2 in Pays de Gex:
- The balcony of Léman (circuit n°10): 116 km - Average Time: 10h
- Auberge of Europe (circuit n°11): 51 km - Average Time: 4h15

The Grand 8 de l'Ain Jura-Sud consists in a two loops route, one in Haut-Bugey and the other in Pays de Gex  meeting in Bellegarde-sur-Valserine. The ‘gessienne’ loop makes it possible to discover the town of Divonne-les-Bains, the  Faucille pass, the valley of Valserine, the Piedmont villages and many other treasures…
