Within the Pays de Gex you can choose between 4 cross country ski areas adapted to all the levels of practice and proposing a total of 240 km of tracks :  Monts
Jura
proposes two cross country ski areas connecting the villages of Lélex, Mijoux and the nordic center of la Vattay. On the whole, more than 140 km of marked tracks are at your disposal from the Valserine banks to the country cottages of mountain pasture of La Vattay. The Plateau of Retord,
is located close to Bellegarde-sur-Valserine, it proposes great spaces within a field of 50 km tracks in connection with the fields of Hotonnes, le grand Abergement and lePoizat. Menthières
proposes 50 km of crosscountry ski tracks dominating the Valserine valley and offering a splendid panorama on the alpine range. Giron, small village located at 1000m of altitude in the Jura (at 20 km of Bellegarde in direction of Oyonnax) proposes 100 km of groomed cros country ski pistes (traditional and skating).
